A barrier suited to your panels and roof
The aim is to restrict access beneath the panels while respecting the roof, panel layout and maintenance needs. We assess the gaps, mounting arrangement, roof condition and access before recommending a mesh and fixing approach. The quotation should explain which edges are covered and any limitations or additional work.
Inspection before installation
Tell us about birds entering under the panels, recurring noise, nesting materials or fouling around the roof and gutters. We check the activity and consider whether birds or nests are present before agreeing the timing and scope of work. Proofing should not trap birds beneath the array; active nesting can affect when work can proceed.
Guano cleaning and nesting debris
Where fouling or debris is present, we can assess the cleaning required and quote for it separately from mesh installation. Tell us whether contamination affects the roof, gutters, walls or paths. Solar panel surface cleaning, electrical repairs and roof repairs are not automatically included in bird proofing; ask us to confirm the agreed scope.

Can mesh stop pigeons getting under solar panels?
A suitable, properly fitted barrier is intended to restrict access beneath the array. The installation needs to suit the panel layout and roof, and existing bird activity must be assessed before work begins.
Will cleaning be included?
Cleaning is assessed and quoted separately unless your quotation expressly includes it. Confirm whether guano, nesting debris and affected gutter areas are within the agreed scope.
Will the work affect my panel warranty?
Tell us the panel make and installer details, and provide any warranty requirements before booking. The proposed fixing method should be checked against those requirements; we do not make a blanket promise about every manufacturer’s warranty.
Can you price the work from photographs?
