Look for traceable observations
Ask for the inspected sections, access points, photographs or camera findings and any limits on visibility. A defect should be distinguished from a suspected rodent route. Do not assume a survey covers every branch of the drainage network.
Ask about the recommended action
Find out whether further investigation, a repair or a suitable protective device is proposed and why. Clarify responsibility for maintenance and whether reinspection is useful after work. Good records help the pest contractor and drainage trade coordinate without turning a possible connection into an unsupported certainty.
Keep drainage and pest records together
Dates of sightings and photographs of defects can be reviewed alongside completed repairs. That helps later investigations identify whether an observed change followed the drainage work. It also avoids repeating a survey simply because its findings and limitations were not passed to the next contractor.
