Why flea activity may need follow-up monitoring

A flea treatment should come with an explanation of what progress may look like and when to report further activity. The life stages present and conditions in the property affect how the problem is assessed.

Keep observations consistent

Record the rooms where insects are seen and the dates. Mention changes in pet treatment or household use, and take photographs if practical. Do not decide that every mark on skin is a flea bite without other evidence.

Stick to the agreed routine

Follow advice about vacuuming, pet care and access to treated areas. Ask when a review is planned and what findings would justify another visit. Continued observations should lead to a discussion of the whole plan, rather than repeated use of unrelated household sprays.

Ask what counts as a review trigger

Clarify which observations should prompt contact before the planned follow-up. The contractor may ask for photographs, dates or a room record. That gives you a practical way to report concerns without trying to decide from isolated bites whether the overall response has succeeded.
